iOS 11.2: It's possible to transfer a current call from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad

iOS 11.2 is available for a week now, Apple was "forced" to release the emergency update in the middle of the weekend because of a bug that crashed the home screen of the iPhone. The real novelty of this release is support for Apple Pay Cash, but Apple only offers this feature in the United States.

Some users have noticed another that can be interesting: call transfer. With iOS 11.2, you can take a call on your iPhone and transfer it to your Mac or iPad in an instant. To do this, simply click on the Audio button to access the list of compatible devices. You can then select your Mac or iPad and the call will be automatically transferred to it instantly.

Apple seems to go through its Handoff feature that wirelessly connects its different products to each other. It is therefore necessary to be connected on the same Internet network so that the call can be transferred from the iPhone to another Apple product.

Note that Apple could extend this idea to other services, such as Apple Music for example. It would be interesting to start playing music on your iPhone and transfer listening on your Mac in one click.
