Animus: the creators of Ire are getting closer to Dark Souls (App Store release)

Ire - Blood Memory (Link App Store - Free - iPhone / iPad) is one of the most demanding action games on the App Store. Already very close to the "spirit" Dark Souls, Ire is already entitled to a continuation in view TPS, always realized by the studio TENBIRDS, which seems even more inspired by the cult game From From Software. Animus - Stand Alone (App Store Link - € 8.99 - iPhone / iPad) always places the player in the skin of a shadow knight who must handle the sword or its blade shield in order to overcome monsters that all look like half-boss bosses, and before of course to meet the real big bosses that hurt and make you want to throw his iPhone X against the wall.

Animus is hard, even frankly hardcore if you choose the highest difficulty mode (among 5 in total), but it is of course all the interest of this type of game. The streums are even better animated than in Ire, faster, but the sight in TPS allows to adjust well its approach strategy, which often requires impeccable timing. The realization is excellent ... as long as we have an iPhone 7 minimum; Of course, it is possible to play Animus on an iPhone 6 at a minimum, but many graphic details then go by the wayside (like shadows for example). TENBIRDS strongly advises the use of a ... iPhone X!

With 23 main quests and 17 secondary quests, 4 game environments, 11 big bosses (and a giant boss is in preparation for an upcoming update), nice cutscenes and the ability to play offline or with MFi controllers , Animus is a strong guy in the action genre that beats up. The name of the game, "Stand Alone", also suggests that a freemium version should also be available soon (the studio had suffered many criticisms after the freemiumisation of Ire), but we can not advise you too much to take the version pay. Strangely, Animus is presented as a companion app to fund developments in Ire - Blood Memory. But our honest opinion is that we have never seen a companion app yet with this level of depth of play.
