Apple enable Apple Pay Cash on iOS 11.2 in the United States, still nothing for the rest of the world

Apple has just activated Apple Pay Cash for US users on iOS 11.2. This feature allows you to send money to your loved ones with Apple Pay via iMessage.

iOS 11.2 was originally scheduled to be available this week, but Apple had to release the new operating system in an emergency on Saturday because there was a big bug. As a reminder, the bug in question was crashing the home screen iPhone under iOS 11 because there was a problem between the date of December 2 and notifications. iOS 11.2 corrects this problem, in addition to fixing other bugs.

Following this hasty exit, Apple could not activate Apple Pay Cash in the United States, while the changelog provided by the manufacturer evoked black and white Apple Pay Cash was available. It's now fixed, the feature is active. It will also be available on the Apple Watch with watchOS 4.2.

For users who do not reside in the United States, iOS 11.2 only fixes bugs and offers no novelty. Apple still does not say anything about the support of Apple Pay Cash in the rest of the world and it's pretty amazing. Indeed, Apple Pay is already available in several countries, including France. In the meantime, Apple Pay can only be used on the Internet, in apps, and in merchants for non-Americans.
