The microphone
and speakers of your iPhone 8 are starting to not work properly? You hear a
crackling sound or the sound emitted by your phone seems to be quite weak? Your
microphone starts to work randomly? If these malfunctions start to appear on
your phone, here's how to fix them:
- Make sure you
have set the Ring / Silent switch on the side of your device to the correct
position;
- If you have an
older version of iOS on your phone, consider downloading the new version, iOS
11.0.2. this can correct problems with crackling noises;
- If the Ring /
Silent switch on your device is already in the correct position and the new
version of iOS 11 is already installed on it, to fix the sound problem, reboot
your phone. Simply turn off the power button and turn it on again. Once turned
on, all you have to do is turn it back on and check the sound. A reboot can
effectively restore your sound and microphone problems;
- The presence of
dust and debris on the speaker grille or on the Lightning Dock can cause the
bass of the sound quality. So remember to remove them;
- Also try
activating your Bluetooth and disabling it afterwards. Once off, check your
sound again;
- If none of these
techniques worked to put your phone back in good shape, do not hesitate to
perform a hard reset. To do this, press Volume Up and release, press Volume
Down and release, then keep pressing the Power button this for about 5 to 10
seconds. Release it when your phone restarts automatically.
- To fix problems
with your device's microphone, try restoring your device through a backup;
-
If despite all these attempts, malfunctions persist,
call Apple.
