Apple released
iOS 11.2 yesterday in final version for all devices. The update fixes several
bugs and adds some features, including Apple Pay Cash in the US and faster
wireless charging on the iPhone 2017. But now some users with an iPhone X have
a problem since the update : Face ID no longer works.
When using face
recognition, an error message appears on the screen, "Can not activate
Face ID on this iPhone". Fortunately, there is a way to fix the problem:
just restart your iPhone. To restart your iPhone X, you must hold the volume +
button or the volume knob - (to choose) and the side button to the right of the
device. Then you have to slide the "Switch off" button. Another
method is to go to Settings> General and choose Shut Down All.
Several users
have confirmed that this solution works most of the time. Some, however, have
the error message that always appears, so try to restore if this situation
arises.
