Now that iOS 11.2 is available in final version, users can take advantage of Apple Pay Cash. This is the only new feature of this update. Apple offers a video tutorial to explain how to configure the system.
Assuming that the
credit card is already set up for Apple Pay for use at merchants, in shops and
on the Internet, the user must open the Messages app, select an iMessage
conversation and click on the icon. from the App Store above the keyboard. It
must then select the Apple Pay extension at the bottom of the screen.
Once it's done,
he just has to enter the amount he wants to send and validate with Face ID if
he has an iPhone X or Touch ID if he has an old iPhone. It only remains to send
the sum (as we send a simple iMessage today) and it's over. The recipient will
only have to go to the Wallet app (installed by default on iOS) to put the
money received on his bank account, send it to other people or use it to make
purchases.
