The 2018 iPhone is announced to have L-shaped batteries with greater capacity

The iPhone X is the first iPhone to have an L-shaped battery. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the three iPhone expected in 2018 will take the same concept and go to have a greater capacity to ensure greater autonomy.

The analyst at KGI Securities, who often has good information about Apple, adds that Apple should make improvements to the battery of the iPhone X, especially at the technology level. Kuo thinks the next 5.8-inch iPhone could have a battery between 2900 and 3000 mAh. In comparison, the iPhone X has a 2,716 mAh. For its part, the 6.5-inch iPhone could have a battery between 3,330 mAh and 3,400 mAh according to Kuo.

Three iPhones are expected in 2018: two OLED models of 5.8 and 6.5 inches and a model LCD of 6.1 inches. Kuo reports that Apple should keep the rectangular format of the battery in the LCD model and offer the L-shaped format in OLED models. That does not mean that Apple is not going to increase capacity there as well. Kuo has a capacity of between 2,850 and 2,950 mAh for the LCD model.

There is already more information circulating around the iPhone 2018 and these come from generally well-informed sources. He said that the three iPhone would have a similar design to the iPhone X (with the screen that takes the entire surface, the notch and Face ID).
