If you're part of a few diehards who do not use the Mail application based IOS, perfectly adequate for normal use, you had perhaps turned to Sparrow, acquired by Google and therefore abandoned. A redemption that is already beginning to pay, given that the application of the latter, Gmail for iOS [App Store Link - Free - Universal], has been updated and provides a new function in particular.
Thus, with this version 1.3 of the application, it is possible to save an image attachment to an email, and so send it to the photographic library of the unit, this requires support and maintain the photo. The application also adds animation and scrolling smoother and more responsive. The changelog of the application:
Enjoy a more responsive user interface for the iPhone.
Save the images received as attachments in your library. Press and hold an image to save it.
Hopefully at least one will find in the near future a key Sparrow, ergonomics and function, in this application Gmail for IOS. Big downside, however, it requires an email address from Gmail to enjoy, as you'd expect.
