Apple today
released iOS 11.2.1 (build 15C153), just over a week after the release of iOS
11.2 for the public. This version was expected, it follows the revelation of a
flaw in HomeKit, Apple's system that allows to control connected objects (lock,
lamp, fan, thermostat, etc.) from his iPhone or iPad. As a reminder, the flaw
allowed an attacker to control objects remotely.
Apple says:
iOS 11.2.1 fixes issues, including a bug that may disable remote access for users sharing accessories with the Home app.
Note that Apple
speaks of "problems", but does not give a list in the immediate
future. We imagine that these are bugs here and there encountered by users
daily. There is no news with this version.
iOS 11.2.1 is
available now by visiting Settings> General> Software Update from iPhone,
iPad or iPod touch.
Apple also offers
tvOS 11.2.1 for Apple TV 4th Generation and Apple TV 4K with the same patch.
iOS 11.2.1 and tvOS 11.2.1 are available
