Oddworld New 'n' Tasty delivers Mudokons on iOS (App Store Exit)

The game on iOS knows a crazy end of the year, with a rain of adaptations of cult games or quality "console". In recent weeks, the Apple platform has hosted such impressive titles as Grid Autosport, The Witness, Flower, Life Is Strange (which we will discuss further in a future article), GNOG, I Am The Hero, FEZ, not to mention pearls developed from the beginning for the mobile.

With Oddworld New 'n' Tasty (Link App Store - $7.99- iPhone / iPad) is another great classic that arrives on iOS; the worship game studio Oddworld Inhabitants is revealed here in its modernized version (the original game was born on PS One), a version available for 3 years on PS Vita and more recently on PS4. In the universe of Oddworld, the player directs the footsteps of Abe, a rebellious Mudokon determined to release all other enslaved Mudokons! Abe now knows that his whole species is threatened by the plans of the infamous Molluck Glukkon, the latter wishing to turn the peaceful Mudokons into good dishes to eat.

Ultra-precise (and ultra punitive) gameplay, a touching scenario and high-end graphics make this Oddworld New 'n' Tasty a timeless title ... it will still be better to practice with an MFi controller; not that the game is completely unplayable on the screen of the iPhone, but the multiplication of virtual buttons may quickly lose the player. Finally, note that the game requires 3.6 GB of free space for installation and that the quality of the graphic display adapts to the performance of the iPhone.
