What an amazing
end of year for iOS players! Indeed, all the big names in the indie game seem
to have rendezvous on the mobile platform of Apple; after The Witness, Flower,
GNOG, Thimbleweed Park, The Talos Principle and the imminent releases of
Thumper, Inside or even Life Is Strange, the big Fez tumbles without warning
(Link App Store - € 5.49 - iPhone / iPad ), a cult game developed by the very
irascible Phil Fish.
In Fez, the world
in 2D can switch to 3D and show another of its facets, a superb find of
gameplay that gives rise to convoluted levels and filled with secret passages.
The central character, a certain Gomez, inherits the power to
"rotate" the levels thanks to his red Fez (a traditional hat). Each
pivot can reveal new paths, reveal access to a new chest, etc.
The cult title FEZ debouches on iOS (App Store release)
